Digital Archiving and Documentation Department
The digital archiving and documentation department takes responsibility for appropriate and secure safe-keeping as well as the description and dissemination of all records of the Bureau of Social Services.
Thus, records of archival value are made known by the heads of the various department of BOSS to this department for archiving. This department pays rapt attention to the following: the digital archiving policy; the target group the policy addresses; requirements for digital archiving and data base; BOSS storage infrastructure for archiving and the archiving process.
The Digital archiving and Documentation Department of the Bureau of Social services uses an Open Archival Information System (OAIS) in accordance with ISO standard 147/12/2003.
